I would have rated it as a 4.5 Star hotel with excellent standard of decor however the only draw back was no restaurant? That I think made the stay alittle uncomfortable as the only food outlets discovered in Borgholm were of a cafe standard.
Only the lack of restaurant services or a local restaurant close to the hotel.

Good location, dining and breakfast. It is a basic seaside hotel with a bit outdated facilities, but in Borgholm one of the few decent choices. Free parking on site, as well as internet. The live music is a bit depressing, especially in off-season, but you might discover the new ABBAS...
Bathroom could be refurbished, prices are a bit too high for the quality of the hotel

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The location was perfect as it was close to both the castle and the waterfront. We could easily walk to town and restaurants. The cleanliness of the hotel and facilities, including the spa, was top-notch. We also appreciated the complimentary parking. Additionally, the breakfast options were varied and delicious. The staff was friendly and accommodating.

Balcony and ocean-view (but furnished in plastic).
Furnishing, Bathroom, value-for-money-ratio. We felt like in the eighties but prices like in 2011.

After upgrade and upgrade we had a room with balcon and seaview. It was more like an appartment.
Not so friendly en no place to eat quietly. Big family tables to eat all together, no privacy.

I recently stayed at a 4-star hotel by the sea, and I must say it was a truly luxurious experience. The location of this place is simply perfect - right by the ocean, with stunning views of the kalmar sound. The hotel is easy to get to, and within walking distance of the charming town center. The staff here were incredibly friendly and made me feel right at home. The service was top-notch, from the room service to the warm welcome drink I received upon arrival. The room itself was cozy and comfortable, with a lovely terrace where I could enjoy the ocean view. The in-room amenities were great, including a flat-screen TV, telephone, and free Wi-Fi. I also appreciated the fact that the hotel provided pet amenities, as I love to travel with my furry friend. my stay here was truly enhanced by the quality services and enhanced comfort provided by this hotel.
In terms of cons, I would say that during high season, it can get a bit loud at this hotel. However, if you're looking for a hotel with a great location by the sea, and luxurious comfort and services, I would definitely recommend this place to families.

The location is very good and the room spacious. Free parking.
Personnel behaved indifferently. The furnishing (TV, airco, bathroom) was outdated. The restaurant very messy, overcrowded and the quality of the breakfast was inferior. The hotel focussed more on the big daily events (nightclub) than on the hotelguests. They 'd better make a choice between the two because now hotelguests are of minor importance. They profit of the lack of other hotels in the neighbourhood.

Good breakfast and friendly staff. Convenient location close to the beach and hiking trails.
Extremely outdated rooms and amenities, not worth the high price tag. Uncomfortable beds and lack of basic toiletries such as shampoo and conditioner.

Its position near the sea
. Our rooms were very noisy -had to move rooms after two sleepless nights - no attempt to help us move and a derisory compensation. Noise is caused by sound travelling down the vetilation system. Hotel seems more interested in conferance guests than the family traveler. Website very misleading - shows only expensive rooms -standard rooms are much smaller and very basic. Car park very small - if hotel is one third full then car park will be full

The view from my room was breathtaking, especially during sunset. I also loved the fact that they had a spa in the hotel. It was so relaxing to unwind after a long day exploring the town. the breakfast buffet was impressive with a variety of options.
Sadly, the room was outdated and lacked basic amenities like a refrigerator or a coffee machine. The bathroom had old fixtures and wasn't suitable for people with disabilities.
